This past weekend (October 24), Drake celebrated his 34th birthday in a manner befitting of the musician: the formal announcement of his forthcoming sixth album, Certified Lover Boy.’
Following the Nike-filled adventures of his “Laugh Now Cry Later” video, Drake revealed that the project will drop sometime in January 2021. That means that it could arrive as early as New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), which would make sense: the day lands on Friday, and with the way things are now people are more likely to ring in 2021 from their homes than outside of them.
He also dropped a teaser trailer for CLB, which takes cues from Jay-Z’s 2009 Rhapsody advert and incorporates a few of his album covers throughout:

He also released a line of merch, with Nike, for the album as well.
Either way: see you in 2021.
