A Kansas man was arrested on Friday after allegedly threatening to harm President Joe Biden.

CNN reports Scott R. Merryman, a construction contractor from Independence, Kansas, faces two felony charges after he allegedly drove halfway across the country and told federal authorities that he planned to kill Biden.

Merryman was detained this week by a federal agent in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel in Hagerstown, Maryland. Upon searching his vehicle, agents found three rounds of ammunition and a spotting scope, but no gun or other weapons. Merryman reportedly told authorities “he had to deliver a message to President Biden, and advise him that people were fed up with the divisiveness in the country and to turn back to God (or go to hell).”

After reviewing Merryman’s Facebook page, officials came across several threats aimed at President Biden.

“I believe Joe Biden is the AntiChrist now and he will suffer a fatal head wound. I’ll deal that blow in Christ’s name,” one of the messages says, adding: “I’m fighting for the Souls of this Great Nation.”

Secret Service agents said Merryman on Thursday called the White House switch board to again threaten President Biden. A special agent contacted Merryman following the episode, in which he allegedly said, “I’m coming with three bullets no guns. I am now coming by myself. You know where I’m staying bitch! I’m in Hagerstown, Maryland at the (unintelligible).”

A criminal complaint calling for Merryman’s arrest was filed on Friday. He is awaiting a court appearance set for Monday.
