Google PlayNetflix has unleashed a new trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a new slasher from director David Blue Garcia that—as the title makes clear—stands as the latest installment in the larger Leatherface-focused franchise.
Marking a storytelling decision that will ring as familiar to fans of the Halloween franchise, the new Massacre serves as a direct sequel to the original 1974 classic from Tobe Hooper. The new film sees Leatherface again bringing the terror to a group of friends (played by Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Jacob Latimore, and Neil Hudson) after existing in a state of hiding for nearly five decades.
