Google PlayAn Arby’s manager in Vancouver, Washington admitted to urinating in milkshake mix on multiple occasions because he got “sexual gratification” from the act, the Columbian reports.
Stephen Sharp was first contacted by the Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit over possible possession and distribution of child pornography. He was arrested on May 10, and while in custody admitted to possessing illicit materials and having a sexual interest in children. He also admitted to urinating in Arby’s milkshake mix on at least two occasions.
From there, authorities executed a search warrant and discovered child pornography on his phone, along with a 16-second video of him committing the egregious act while working a night shift at the chain restaurant. Another manager at the same Arby’s informed detectives that they served around 30 to 40 milkshakes and one ice cream float on the day the video was recorded.
Sharp claimed he was “almost sure” he had thrown the mixture away and that it wasn’t served to customers. He also allegedly downloaded child pornography while working a shift at the restaurant on more than one occasion, police said.
Investigators have now begun conducting a search for any customer who may have consumed a urine-saturated milkshake on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. They are asking any individuals with a valid receipt to contact Vancouver police.
“The Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit has not located evidence that Arby’s or its franchisee was aware of the abhorrent actions of Stephen Sharp,” Vancouver police Sgt. Julie Ballou clarified in an email to the Columbian.
Sharp was charged with four counts of Possession of Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct and four counts of Dealing Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct Assault II. He is currently being held at Clark County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on May 25. He additionally appeared in Clark County Superior Court on Friday to face a new charge of Second-Degree Assault With Sexual Motivation and had his bail raised from $5,000 to $40,000.
