Disgraced Former Attorney Alex Murdaugh Sentenced to Life Behind Bars in Murders of Wife and Son

Alex Murdaugh received two life sentences on Friday after one day earlier being convicted in the murders of his wife and son.

Per USA Today, Murdaugh was sentenced in connection with the 2021 killings of his wife, 52-year-old Maggie Murdaugh, and his son, 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh. 

Thursday’s verdict came after a six-week trial that featured testimony from over 70 witnesses.
