Sharon Stone Slams Joe Rogan for Spreading COVID-19 Misinformation: ‘His Behavior Is Dangerous’

Sharon Stone is calling out Joe Rogan for spreading COVID-19 misinformation on his Spotify-exclusive podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.

In a new interview with TMZ, the 63-year-old actress suggested another disclaimer that Rogan should add to his podcast.

“He should put a disclaimer that he’s an asshole and that his behavior is dangerous and affecting people’s lives and deaths,” Stone told TMZZ on Tuesday. “COVID is not an opinion-based situation and Mr Rogan thinking that his opinion or disclaimer for the lives he personally has affected and caused losses of — it’s not an opinion.”

Stone added, “Mr Rogan is risking people’s lives with his idiocy and his professing that his thoughts about COVID are opinions. Infectious diseases are science, and they are fact-based situations, so the pretence that these are opinions is dangerous.”

It isn’t the first time Stone has voiced her opinion of Rogan. Over the weekend, after Spotify pulled Neil Young’s catalog following his request for its removal amid criticism aimed at the streaming platform and Rogan for “spreading fake information about vaccines,” the actress took to Twitter to support Young.

“I’m w @Neilyoung cancel my @Spotify accounts in the name of Truth,” she wrote.

On Monday, in a 10-minute video shared on Instagram, Rogan addressed the ongoing pushback facing Spotify in connection with his podcast. 

“The problem I have with the term misinformation, especially today, is that many of the things that we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact,” Rogan explained.

He went on to explain his “pledge” to listeners moving forward.

“My pledge to you is that I will do my best to try to balance out these more controversial viewpoints with other people’s perspectives so we can maybe find a better point of view,” Rogan said.
