Kim Kardashian Reveals Kanye Walked Out During Her ‘Saturday Night Live’ Monologue, Explains Why

Kim Kardashian says the artist formerly known as Kanye West walked out during her Saturday Night Live monologue last year.

The revelation is tucked into the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardsahians, which marks an overhaul, of sorts, of the long-running E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Speaking with her sister Khloé, Kim also pointed out the moments from her monologue that she says spurred Ye’s exit.

“How are you and Ye?” Khloé is seen asking Kim while the two are on a walk.

“He walked out on SNL, like, mid-monologue, so I haven’t talked to him since,” Kim revealed, later outlining what caused the walkout.

“He’s upset at the fact that I said ‘the reason I divorced him,’ used the word ‘divorced,’” she said. “So he wished I said the word ‘filed’ for divorce. And he was upset that I also said he was a ‘rapper.’ He said, ‘I’m so much more than a rapper. I can’t believe you said rapper.’”

From there, Kim argued she “made fun of everything that’s personal to me” during her October 2021 monologue, adding that she wouldn’t have done the same to Ye if the situation was flipped.

“I would never embarrass him and walk out and leave,” she insisted. Khloé then chimed in again, pointing to what she described as “strong public stances” from Ye with which Kim did not agree. “How is that fair for you?” she asked.

In response, Kim said Ye is “so used to getting exactly what he wants” in such scenarios.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Good for him. But hey, it’s not gonna happen here,” she said.
